She was raised by Charles and Nora Day since she was 18 months old when her mother passed away.Joanne was born January 2, 1950 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Darrell E. She grew up in Maroa along with her twin brother, Joe, older brother, Darrell and sisters, Patricia and Jean. She loved small town living and friendships that lasted a lifetime. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL. Memorials may be made to the Northern Piatt Fire Protection District or Martha’s Cupboard Food Pantry, Mansfield, Illinois.She was a beautician by trade but enjoyed decorating, refinishing furniture and flower gardening. Mary was a member of the Weldon Baptist Church, and the Order of the Eastern Star for 35 years.
Mike is survived by his son, Jon Robert Long, Deland; daughter, Alissa Long, Monticello; grandchildren, Jaxen and Matthew Gudenrath; brothers, Barry Long (Kathy), Bethany; Eric Allec (Ashlie), Lancaster, Calif.; sisters, Karen (Long) Oram, Monticello, and Marlene Long, Purvis, Miss.; mother, Deborah Allec, Hattiesburg, Miss.; Jerry Allec, Las Vegas, Nev.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mike was a sheet metal worker for Union Local 218 and worked at the University of Illinois.
She was also a small business owner and served the public all her adult life.
